Saving the World Scholarship Ad
UCSC is well known for its environmental leadership and research.
I chose to highlight this young man's projects for several reasons: His Clark Kent wholesomeness makes him the perfect "poster child" for scholarships. His work is an interdisciplinary blend of physical science and engineering, which appeals to a broad scope of our donor base. And, he's saving a piece of the world that is understood--the eroding coral reefs and a potential for predicting tsunamis.
